The Top Cities With the Most Well-Hung Men in America

If measuring is your cup of tea, you may be curious about which American cities supposedly have the most well-hung men. A lighthearted study attempted to answer that question by analyzing condom sales and estimating where larger-than-average men might be located.

While the findings are more entertaining than scientific, they certainly sparked plenty of conversation.

The reality is that relatively few men have penises measuring more than eight inches. Most people fall much closer to the average range.

What Research Says About Average Size

Sex researcher Justin Lehmiller has reported that the average erect penis size is approximately 5.2 inches. While that may not sound impressive to some people, it falls well within the normal range.

Research published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine has also suggested that only a small percentage of men have penis sizes exceeding eight inches.

In other words, truly exceptional measurements are far less common than popular culture might suggest.

How the Study Reached Its Conclusions

The study did not actually measure anyone. Instead, researchers analyzed condom sales and focused specifically on purchases of Magnum condoms.

The assumption was that men buying Magnum condoms were more likely to require larger sizes.

Whether that assumption is entirely accurate is certainly open to debate, but it provided the foundation for the rankings.

The Bottom Five Cities

According to the study:

  • 10th Place: Washington, D.C. — 26% of men reportedly purchased Magnum condoms
  • 9th Place: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — 27%
  • 8th Place: Boston, Massachusetts — 29%
  • 7th Place: Phoenix, Arizona — 31%
  • 6th Place: Newark, Delaware — 33%

These cities rounded out the lower half of the rankings.

The Top Five Cities

The top five cities included:

  • 5th Place: Tucson, Arizona — 43%
  • 4th Place: Atlanta, Georgia — 44%
  • 3rd Place: Chicago, Illinois — 49%
  • 2nd Place: Denver, Colorado — 73%
  • 1st Place: Columbus, Ohio — 82%

According to the study's methodology, Columbus took the top spot.

Of course, it is important to remember that these rankings are based on purchasing behavior rather than direct scientific measurements.
