Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed:
MeetPositives.com is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible and usable for all people, including those with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to connection and community — and that includes the digital tools that make it possible.
Our commitment
We work to align MeetPositives.com with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines cover a range of recommendations for making content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
This is an ongoing effort. As we continue building and improving the platform, accessibility is a consideration in our design, development, and content decisions.
What we've done
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility across the platform:
- Used semantic HTML structure to support screen readers and assistive technologies
- Added descriptive alt text to images throughout the site
- Designed color contrast to meet or approach WCAG AA standards
- Ensured keyboard navigability for primary site functions
- Provided text alternatives and labels for form inputs
- Avoided relying on color alone to convey meaning
- Designed the site to be functional without auto-playing media or disorienting animations
Known limitations
We want to be transparent. Some areas of the platform are still being improved:
- Member-uploaded content (profile photos, messages) may not always meet accessibility standards, as this content is generated by users and outside our direct control
- Certain interactive features within the app experience (matching, messaging) are in active development and may have accessibility gaps we are working to address
- Third-party tools and embeds (such as payment processors, analytics, or social integrations) operate under their own accessibility policies, which we do not control
We are actively working to identify and resolve these limitations as part of our ongoing platform development.
